ABOUT THE PROGRAM

SAM BAT Fall League Baseball – Sacramento is all about player development.  The program will run two divisions designed to work with 14U and 16U aged players to give them the opportunity to continue to play and improve their game under the guidance of  Coach Davis’ professional instruction all while refining the player's hitting techniques in a wood bat league. In addition to the short season format, a strong focus is on skill development that will play prominent element of the program.

SAM BAT Fall League Baseball – Sacramento is run by Coach Bill Davis.  Coach Davis operates Davis Sports Academy and Northern California ABD. Coach Davis has been coaching and playing baseball for forty years and was an Associate Scout with the Atlanta Braves organization. 

SACRAMENTO PROGRAM INFORMATION

Registration is open now!

Space is very limited and interest high.  Cost is only $180 per player and includes for the short season format, instruction and a SAM BAT with the registration.

Games:  Short season format with weekly regular season games + playoff tournament

When:  September 17th through November 16th

Where:   Natomas High School and C.K. McClatchy High School in Sacramento

Rule Modification:  All games will be played and governed by California High School Federation Rules with modifications to promote total roster involvement, e.g. us of the extra hitter (EH and XH) or the ability to hit entire lineup and free defensive substitutions as long as integrity of batting order is maintained. 

Instructional Benefit:

All players will experience and gain first hand gain experience to work and hit with wood bats.  This will benefit and improve their hitting as they progress in their playing careers.

Fee:  $180.00 per player – registration is limited so register early to not be disappointed.  Direct entry teams are permitted in this league.

ABOUT COACH DAVIS

Coach Bill Davis has over 40 years of baseball experience as a high school, college athlete, and Club baseball coach. He is a former associate scout for the Atlanta Braves Baseball Organization, currently directs the Northern California ABD Valley Dogs Club, and is owner of Davis Sports Academy in Sacramento, California, USA.

Coach Davis specializes in training and preparing young athletes for high school, college, and professional baseball and has assisted numerous players in realizing their dreams. He is the brother of Seattle Mariner Hall of Famer Alvin Davis.
